‘Le génie humain’, the first book dedicated to INPI’s heritage collection
Published on 9 November 2023 by Editions Gründ, this book, which is entirely dedicated to the heritage collection preserved by INPI, tells the story of inventions in all areas of everyday life: household arts, transportation, architecture, cinema, music, sport, food, etc.
The historian Bruno Fuligni has delved into our historical archives and unearthed hundreds of illustrations of remarkable inventions: some of them have enjoyed great commercial success, others have been destined for more modest ends, and some have even turned out to be completely outlandish and of no real use other than to inspire dreams.
As well as showcasing the full extent of human creativity and inventiveness, ‘Le génie humain’ highlights the wonderful collection held in our archives.
